No water flowing through return jetUpdated 14 days ago
If water is not flowing through the return jet after initial setup, this could be for a number of reasons such as:
- Valves are closed – make sure that that the filter housing handle valve is open, and the green return jet plug is not plugged in.
- Air lock – this happens when air gets caught in the pump preventing it from being able to move water. You can tell you have air lock if the filter is not filling up with water and the pump screen is reading much lower than the desired P032 or greater. If you have air lock, you can fix it by unscrewing the intake of the pump until a little water comes out to bleed the air out of the pump as seen in this video.
- Filter is clogged – especially if the hose filter is not used when filling up, the filter can clog quickly on initial fill up. This can also happen if there is a lot of dirt in the bottom of the tub on initial fill up. To fix this issue, please change the filter.
- Pump power dial not turned up - If your pump matches the one in the photo below, check the blue power dial—it may be turned all the way down. Adjust it to around 50% power to restore proper water flow through the pump.
