What is the temperature range on the chiller?Updated 8 hours ago
The chiller can cool water down to 39°F. You can set the temperature as high as 80°F+, but it’s important to note that the unit only chills. It does not actively heat the water.
If you set the temperature higher than the current water temperature, the chiller will simply remain off. In this case, any increase in water temperature will occur naturally from the ambient environment, not from the chiller itself.
Once set to the desired temperature, the water will cool to that temperature and then enter standby mode. The system will remain in standby until the water temperature rises 2 degrees above the set point. Therefore, when set to 39 degrees, for example, the water will consistently maintain a temperature between 39-42 degrees.
This range is known as the "temperature deadband." The default deadband is 2 degrees, but it can be adjusted between 1-4 degrees (F). See the graphic below for more details on this setting and instructions on how to adjust it if needed!
